Welcome to the Charter School of New Castle's Advanced Honors Academy!
Our program is designed for 6th Grade Students with advanced academic abilities, offering an accelerated course of study that ignites a passion for learning and prepares students to succeed at the most rigorous high schools in Delaware. Our first Advanced Honors Academy graduating class will be the initial 6th-grade cohort. This group will move from 6th grade (2023-2024) to 7th grade (2024-2025) and finally to 8th grade (2025-2026) as our inaugural group.
About The Program
Charter School of New Castle Advanced Honors Academy is a new program launching in the 2023-2024 school year. Our mission is to ignite a passion for learning and provide our students with the skills and knowledge necessary for success in college and beyond. All students have the potential to achieve greatness, and we are dedicated to helping them reach their full potential. Our program is designed to be rigorous and challenging but also supportive and inclusive. Our teachers are highly qualified and dedicated to helping students succeed, and our facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art technology to support student learning.
The Curriculum
Our Advanced Honors Academy offers a challenging and engaging curriculum that prepares students for college and beyond. Our 7th grade ELA and Math i-Ready courses are designed to be both rigorous and rewarding, and our one-teacher self-contained staffing model ensures that students receive personalized attention and support. Additionally, our program offers a range of special programs, including Spanish, Math League, and National Junior Honor Society. Our goal is to provide a comprehensive and well-rounded educational experience that prepares our students for success in all areas of their lives.

To complete the application process, you must complete a Performance Task, obtain Teacher Recommendations, provide your Standardized Test Scores and Disciplinary Report, and upload your most Recent Report Card.
