Academic Results
At Charter School of New Castle, we are proud of our strong academic record. Since 2011, we have seen remarkable improvement on state testing in both reading and math. Specifically, student scores have risen by 21 points in reading and 19 points in math over this time period. Today, 72% of our students are proficient in reading and 68% are proficient in math.
The percentage of our students meeting annual growth targets as determined by the Department of Education has also risen in recent years. Since 2011, the percentage of students meeting growth targets has improved by 7 points in reading and 17 points in math. The graphs below demonstrate our most recent academic results on state exams.
