Elementary School Principal's Note
Charter School of New Castle Elementary School has kicked off the 2015-16th school year bringing back 385 scholars and welcoming 120 new Kindergarten scholars. We are re-energized, refreshed, and rejuvenated soaring toward excellence and coming back stronger than ever. Thank you for your partnership and support. We are excited to share our new building with our wonderful families, friends, and community. More importantly, new school events have been added to our calendar.
When you walk through the doors your eyes are welcomed by a sea of vibrant blue uniforms, sparkling smiles, clear routines/systems and a focus-driven staff culture. Every day scholars are greeted at the door with a friendly handshake or high five and participate in character education to jump start their morning.
This year our staff has been equipped with the tools and resources to be even more successful with a new common core aligned curriculum, coaching and accountability systems, and monthly professional development. We aim for a collaborative culture that embraces the implementation of the best instructional practices that benefits all students.
The wheels are in motion and we have laid the groundwork for high behavioral and academic expectations focusing on three key areas; data driven instruction, school wide systems/routines and student culture. These key items have given us the opportunity to spend our precious time on quality instruction and student success.
We are excited to see our scholars flourish and develop this year and are (remove) our partnerships with families grow exponentially. My vision is that all students can and will graduate from high school and college with the tools to be successful in life. It is our responsibility to set no limits to student learning because this work matters and our students matter. It is my pleasure to serve as your school leader and I am looking forward to a great school year!
All students can! All students will! We will get them there!.
